WE ARE HERE
I hung my love for you
across an opal moon beam
glistering
and bathing my soul
I offered to know
where the angels fly
and the dreamers sigh
oh meadow sweet meadow
so far far below
can you be here by morning
dancing with zephyrs perfume
when the Nightingale slumbers
taking my thoughts abloom
could you wake me with your kisses
in your sweetest sought delights
as my heart searches beyond
the moons pearlescent light
as I make my honey wishes
in these days so blissfully steep
with a crisper spoke whisper
oh precious moments I reap
singing songs to the mountains
and the fertile valley below
oh save me sweet memory
were the roses do grow
and the voices of your heart linger
meager to this I sow
dancing tides with the wind
oh sweetest kindred moments
we are here
yes, we are here
where moonlight begins…

You, Victoria, are a poet. You are a very good poet. You are an excellent vocal reading poet, which I find refreshing because I can hardly stand to listen to most poets read their own poems. But you do it well. I liked this poem. A love poem with questions, you seem to be offering your love and asking the love interest if he could do things to make your commitment come true. That you are “The Lord’s Poet,” is your business, as it is my business to reject most poems with God, or the Lord as its focal point. You are a breath of beauty and I am proud to be able to read your work.
Hi Jerry, Thanks so much for your message. I appreciate this very much. I’m so glad you enjoyed this recitation. That makes my day
