Jerusalem’s Thorns

Spurge of Madagascar
Jerusalem thorns grow deep
Messengers over River Jordan stand
Where hillside’s scriptures of lily weep

Messiah born to silent Bethlehem
The truest vines of wisdom grow
Gathering by the sacred mount Zion
Good Sheppard’s words always sow

Elevating into our spiritual atonement’s
Reparations and burdens are bared
Standing upon the walls of forgiveness
Jerusalem’s thorns are forever spared…
