I bought some of this black mess netting to boarder my garden this year rather than buying some chicken wire. I wanted to buy some rabbit fencing but went right down cheap street instead…yeah I was thinking I will spend all that money I save on some pretty summer dresses.

I face my day usually at 4 AM, make some coffee, write a poem, check my internet rankings…maybe visit some of my on-line cyber communities then I head outside to my garden. My “Love Angel Pearl” is my English Springer Spaniel and she was more than happy to inform me of her find in my garden netting this morning. AURGH!!!! It was a beautiful baby Starling & he was totally tangled in the mess of netting….

He was screaming at Pearl to leave him be, and then I set him free. He bee-bopped in the garden for a few minutes while I put my girl Pearl inside her yard kennel. Then I went back to help the little Starling out of my garden and place him were I thought his parents were. I hope he survives. What a traumatic thing for him to go through.

Back to my gardening and planting some pumpkin…man I love pumpkin bread …anyways then I seen a baby sparrow trapped in the netting…set him free and he flew right into a nearby tree. I hope no more babies get caught up in the netting. But I will keep an eye out for them. I love watching them learn to fly…I never thought they would get tangled in this netting. Never Again….
