I have no idea what I was thinking to not check my pockets before washing a load of laundry! I heard a thumping sound in the washer that grabbed my attention…then a slow….very slow realization came about as I went to my washer & panic!! OMG!! …

Calm…stays calm…sigh…

I always wash my desk top keyboards with soap & water (disconnect them)

I always wash my electric fans with soap & water (unplugged)

well I am treating my iPhone4 like I would a keyboard & my fans & hope for the best. My iPhone4 is currently resting with some rice after I dried it off with a towel and kept giving it a couple thrusting shakes. Then I used the blow drier…pause…blow drier again…I won’t be turning my phone on for about 4 days to make sure it is dry inside and then we shall see what happens. My stomach is turning…I need a beer…ok I just want one.

Now about cleaning a keyboard or an electrical fan: you didn’t know you could clean them easily? Oh yes! Let’s go with the fan. Unplug that bad boy & go outside to your yard. Grab some Windex or dish soap or whatever you want to use. Now grab your garden hose. Spray your Windex or drizzle some dish soap on your fan & blades. Spray it, spray it & watch those dirty fan blades get clean! Rinse off all the soap and then tip your fan around to make sure the jest of the water is not collected in any nook or cranny and place it in a sunny spot and let it air out…bring it into the house before night and place your fan somewhere out of the way & forget about it for a few days…then after 4-5 days you can use your clean fan! I am hoping this same concept will work with my iPhone…I will check back on the outcome.
